The Sackville Golf Club held its two-day championship tournament September 9–10, 2017. This year’s club champion Travis Colwell (74, 75) beat out first runner-up Todd Hicks (78, 79) and second runner-up Wade Ward (79, 79). Earlier in September, Aquila Bourgeois scored an ace on Sackville’s number seven hole. Golfing with his wife Debbie, Aquila used a hybrid five iron to score his ace on the 155-yard par three hole. On Saturday, September 23, 2017, the course will be closed from 10 am until 2:30 pm for a tournament, shot-gun start. If you would like to play in the afternoon, please call the club at 536-3437, as the tournament may finish early.
The course will close for the season at the end of the day on Monday, October 9th, 2017.
Barring the unforeseen, work will begin on the repair of the third fairway on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. This will result in this hole being closed for the remainder of the season. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this work has to be done at this time.

The SGCC Junior program concluded its very successful 2017 summer instructional program on Monday, August 26, 2017. This year the program had over 30 registered, which is the most in recent years.
